Expo ‘92, Edificio Suecia (Sweden Building)

Post Modern Architecture at Expo ‘92, Sevilla, Spain. The Edificio Suecia (Sweden Building). This building has an interesting history. It is not the actual pavilion used during the fair, but it is the permanent building that replaced the temporary one and looks completely different than the original. It was designed by architect Juan Fernández, built in ‘94 and sits directly on the plot of land that the original Pavilion of Sweden occupied during Expo ’92. The original temporary pavilion was designed by Swedish architects Bernt Sahlin, Gert Wingårdh, and Tomas Hansen. The last 2 images are the original pavilion.
