Post Modern Architecture at Expo ‘92, Sevilla. The Pabellón de la Navegación (Navigation Pavilion) in Seville, located on the Guadalquivir River, and designed by the Sevillian architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra. The design relies on maritime metaphors executed through minimalist, functional material. The curved profile directly resembles the inverted hull of a ship. Facing east toward the riverbank, the pavilion features a long exterior balcony punctuated by five prominent glass structures or light monitors. These vertical glass protrusions are designed to capture natural daylight and channel it deep into the main halls. Since 2012, it has served as a museum dedicated to the evolution of Atlantic navigation and the history of sea travel.
