Places of Worship

Carlson Studio has been designing places for worship, fellowship and learning since 2000. We have successfully completed over 40 projects in this building type, including sanctuaries from 200 to 1200 seats, traditional and contemporary.

FAITH BAPTIST SANCTUARY, 23,000 SF, 1200 seat sanctuary, The project includes one main sanctuary with stage and control room, and an open lobby with access to a large men’s and women’s restroom. There is full theatrical lighting and State-of the-Art audio/visual technology including three large rear projection screens.

Apostolic Church and Fellowship Hall, 9,800 SF, 350 Seat Sanctuary with attached Dining/fellowship with warming kitchen and supporting functions. This project was completed in a Design/Build format.

SHINING LIGHT CHURCH This quickly growing church required a New Sanctuary and auxiliary spaces for its membership. The 14,500 sf structure featured here is the first building on their newly
master planned campus. The 338 seat Sanctuary within a single Multi-Purpose Building that also contains Office Space, a Fellowship Hall, a Nursery and Classroom Spaces. The project utilized a pre-engineered metal building structural system with concrete masonry unit exterior walls and a standing seam metal roof system.

FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH, In collaboration with Worship Concepts, LLC, Carlson Studio Architecture designed a three building campus including a new 1100 seat Sanctuary & Fellowship Hall, a Multipurpose Building with a Gymnasium, and an Educational Building with classroom and office
spaces. The Sanctuary and Multipurpose building have been built, and the Educational
Building is yet to be built. The Sanctuary is 28,800 SF, the Multipurpose Building is 14,364,
and the Educational Building is 28,728 SF.

FAITH PRESBYTERIAN FAMILY LIFE CENTER, 17,500 SF The two story Multi-Purpose Building was designed to integrate into the Churches Existing Campus. The building completes the campus by adding a full size Gymnasium, Locker Rooms, Commercial Kitchen, Classroom Spaces, and a Youth Activity Loft.

FAMILY LIFE CENTER, Church of the Palms, 14,000 SF, including a vaulted full size gymnasium with locker rooms and a foyer/lobby/café area including a commercial kitchen, three youth classrooms, a media room. From the entry/café area one can look through another glass wall into the main gymnasium space, or access a classroom to the right or the kitchen café to the left. The building’s wall system is built from insulated concrete forms, which surround the pre-engineered metal building frame, which is the structural system. The pre-engineered metal building gives the interior space a vaulted ceiling with an exposed acoustical deck on the ceiling.
