The renovations sought to create a casual yet elegant atmosphere in which locals and tourist could come to experience Sarasota. The American-contemporary design of both the interior improvements and the complete exterior renovation gave new life to the restaurant and the surrounding area. In addition to a new restaurant and bar, the project included renovations to the Tasting Room (J.D. Ford’s), the Wine Store, and the new retail space called The Living Room, which features wine tasting and classroom areas. The 10,000 SF restaurant/bar became the newest hotspot in Sarasota for many years after its opening in 1999.
